VIZ - VIZRT: AL JAZEERA ADDED TO MIDDLE EAST CLIENTS

 

Bergen, Norway, June 23, 2005. Vizrt Ltd. (Frankfurt Prime

Standard, Oslo Main List: VIZ), announces today, that The

Middle East is rapidly becoming one of Vizrt`s top regions

for growth this year. This follows the decision by Vizrt to

open a fully-staffed office in Dubai in the autumn of 2004

and to focus on local representation and support.

 

In the second quarter of 2005, Vizrt will generate revenues

of around three quarters of a million US Dollars from The

Middle East region. The clients are some of the region`s

most dominant players like MBC, Al Jazeera and ART, as well

as Sharjah TV, Dubai TV News, and Dubai TV Sports.

 

MBC, which is based in Dubai and has currently 5 stations,

including the 24/7 news channel, Al Arabiya, signed up for

a basic Vizrt installation a year and a half ago. Since

then it has been expanding their usage of Vizrt software to

include their new channels. A total of 5 MBC-owned

channels (MBC 1 - 4 + Al Arabiya) are now generating their

real-time graphics using Vizrt software.

 

The most recent add to the customer list is Al Jazeera

Satellite Channel News, that made their first purchase from

Vizrt. The deal included 2 Viz|Trio character generator

systems, with possibilities for further upgrades. Al

Jazeera is based in Doha, Qatar and was the first 24/7-news

channel to broadcast in Arabic. Coming up Al Jazeera is to

open a High-Definition 24/7-news channel in English within

the first part of 2006.

 

ART Sports is located in Jordan Media City. The ART group

has around fifteen channels, operating from it`s

headquarter in Jeddah, Saudi-Arabia. Their production

facilities are spread across the entire Middle East. ART

made an initial purchase of 4 Viz|Trio CG systems to be

installed in facilities in Amman with further upgrades to

be added in Cairo and Jeddah.

 

Dubai Media Incorporated invested in Viz|Trio real-time 3D

CGs this quarter for its channel Dubai-TV Sports while its

news channel, Dubai TV News, is already a user of Vizrt

systems.

 

This quarter, Vizrt also signed up Sharjah TV, a local

channel in the United Arab Emirates, with a Viz|Trio CG

system.

 

Latest sale from the Middle East region this quarter is a

Viz|Trio based system to Ten Sports, owned by Dubai based

Taj Television. After its launch in 2002, Ten Sports is now

established as one of the world`s premier sports channels

for South Asians.

Orkla ASA har i dag den 4. juli 2005 kjøpt 10 625 aksjer i

Vizrt Ltd. Etter transaksjonen eier Orkla ASA 780 507

aksjer, tilsvarende 5,0% av aksjekapitalen og stemmene i

Vizrt.

VIZ - FOX TV STATIONS JOIN GROWING CUSTOMER ROSTER IN THE US

 

Viz|Curious Maps Customers Now Exceed 225 in the U.S.

 

Bergen, Norway, July 13, 2005 - Vizrt Ltd. (Frankfurt Prime

Standard, Oslo Main List: VIZ), the world`s leading

producer of real-time 2D and true 3D graphics systems for

TV, announces today the addition of FOX Television Network

to its growing list of customers for its Viz|Curious Maps

digital map creation product. FOX recently purchased fully

configured Viz|Curious Maps systems for each of its 25

owned-and-operated stations throughout the U.S. With this

important sale, Vizrt`s list of U.S. customers now exceeds

225 and is growing steadily.

 

Eight FOX owned-and-operated stations began using Curious

World Maps in 2002. With this new purchase by Fox Network,

each of Fox`s 25 owned and operated stations will benefit

from the maps package as one of the content creation tools

in use for its daily news programs. The eight initial FOX

stations with Curious Software recently purchased updates

that include new street and satellite data options.

 

Each system includes detailed local street data, enhanced

topography data, advanced paint and image processing, 2D

and 3D animation, global satellite imagery and hyper-local

aerial imagery.

 

With a wide range portfolio of graphics products, Vizrt

continues to provide the utmost in real-time graphical

features and benefits for daily news content production.

With the addition of Viz|Curious Maps technology to its

array of broadcast tools, the FOX Television Network can

also now benefit from Vizrt`s range of modular graphics

products that complement the easily-created broadcast maps.

Still some upside potential

 

The recent meeting with Vizrt’s management suggested a slight up-grade of our estimates. After the record Q4 2005 we expect the company to continue its strong 2006 top line growth, fuelled by the worldwide expansion strategy. The expected 25% organic growth should be complemented by additional amount of approximately $3,5 mill from previous and future acquisitions.

 

The Russian and CIS markets are currently providing the growing demand for Vizrt’s TV broadcast products. There are currently more than 80 Russian channels available nationally through terrestrial and satellite broadcasting, as well as over 170 regional channels, and many of them are not yet digitized.

 

Dependent on a successful acquisition of Ardendo, Vizrt should extend its offering of specific graphics to a full broadcast production system from ingest to visualization. The launch of a combined product line with Ardendo and Adactus is to license broadcasters’ live and recorded content to mobile devices. The first results of the combined product should appear in H2 2006 while the full effect will be seen in 2007.

 

Conclusion

Vizrt is well positioned for further growth due to its attractive and complete product portfolio. There are some new competitors appearing after the acquisition of Ardendo, however, most of them are the niche competitors on some of Vizrt’s products and do not offer such a full broadcast production system from ingest to visualization. Based on the strong revenue growth, relatively good visibility and upside risk in our estimates, we perceive the pricing multiples as relatively attractive and issue a Buy recommendation.
